Andrew Kuprewicz: "The coaches convention has been an incredible experience"

The 43 coaches from America and Europe assess the 1st VCF Coaches Convention of the Valencia CF Academy.

A week of theoretical and practical learning, camaraderie, great experiences and Sentiment that now, back in their countries of origin in the USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Malta, they will try to pass on to their colleagues and the young players that make up the different projects of the VCF Academy Programs.

This was the first VCF Coaches Convention, the first convention of coaches who have strengthened their ties with Valencia CF and with the working methodology of the Valencia CF Academy that they follow daily in their respective countries.

 passing down the knowledge

"It has been an incredible experience" explains, the manager of the 1st11 Academy Powered by VCF in the UK project who has been working with the VCF Academy for 5 years.

"Coming to this convention has been a great opportunity to reinforce the knowledge of the philosophy, the values of the club, to better understand how to work with the players, structure the sessions, understand what it means to be a Valencia CF player to transfer it to my players in London" concludes Andrew.

ONE BIG FAMILY

From the projects in Italy and Malta came a large representation of technicians who share the Mediterranean DNA in a special way. "It has been fantastic," says Giulio Longo, Manager of the VCF Academy Programs Italy and Malta.

"It has allowed us to meet people from other countries and to get to know better the Valencia CF methodology that we have been following for 7 years. I like the feeling of family that you can feel here every time we come here," says Giulio, who especially highlights the meeting and the training session with Baraja and Angulo.

a PASSION FOR FOOTBALL WITH THE SAME DNA

"We are all coaches from different countries but we all share the same DNA of Valencia CF and this has been a great opportunity," explains Stamatis Koulouris, coach of the VCF Academy Greece.

"The most important thing for me has been the passion for Valencia CF," says Magalie Seabrooke, coach of VCF Academy Canada. "The passion for sharing knowledge and allowing the coaches and players to grow as part of the Valencia CF family.

That Valencia CF family that goes beyond the walls of the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna and thanks to their work in coordination with the VCF Academy Programs extends across 5 continents as VCF Academy director, Luis Martínez, reminded them at the welcome ceremony

"For us, it is important that all our academies and international projects work with a similar identity and a model as similar as possible to what we work in the VCF Academy and this I VCF Coaches Convention makes them feel part of this family," says Luis Martínez.

"The fact that there were more than 40 coaches at this first edition is very good news for us because it shows the interest they have in learning more about the Valencia CF methodology," said Ramón Mompó, Technical Manager of the VCF Academy Programs.

I VCF ACADEMY COACHES CONVENTION

Over the course of 5 days, the 43 coaches were able to deepen theoretical and practical sessions in the working methodology of the VCF Academy, the fourth best in Europe in the training of players to compete at the elite level, according to the report of the CIES Football Observatory of October 2023 (+ INFO).

"The objective was to know how to develop a session based on the VCF Academy model and for this they had four themes: to know the identity of the game and training and the long term, to know how to generate tasks, to know how to link them to build a session and to know how to communicate with the player already with the task in play" explains Jordi Hidalgo, Head of the Identity Department of the VCF Academy.
